Day 1: Tbilisi – The Capital

  • Midday: Explore the Old Town (Altstadt), with its charming narrow streets, cobblestone pathways, and traditional houses with wooden balconies. Visit Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica.
  • Lunch: Try some Georgian cuisine at a local restaurant—khachapuri (cheese-filled bread) and khinkali (dumplings) are must-try dishes.
  • Afternoon: Visit Rustaveli Avenue, the main street with museums, theaters, and shops. Don’t miss the Georgian National Museum or The Bridge of Peace.
  • Evening: Relax in the Sulfur Baths in the Abanotubani district, followed by dinner in a traditional restaurant with live Georgian music.

Day 2: Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery

  • Midday: Visit Sighnaghi, a picturesque hilltop town known as the “City of Love.” Explore the charming streets and the old city walls with views of the Caucasus Mountains.
  • Lunch: Have lunch in Sighnaghi, and try regional wine and dishes like mchadi (cornbread) and badrijani (eggplant rolls).
